9.8.2020 - Release Notes

New Password Security Options!

Keeping your business and client data safe is so important and with these new updates to password security, you are able to further ensure the strength of user passwords! These new updates can also offer an added layer of protection for your company! Let's check them out:

Force Password Expiration Every X Amount of Days

  • This new feature allows users to be required to reset their Envision Cloud password every so often, and the frequency of the expiration can be set to what would best fit your company! This setting is optional, but if enabled the minimum frequency is every 30 days. This setting will prompt a password change for both regular users and the master login. The password reset will prompt based on the date of the last password change and not when this setting is saved – meaning the date of password expiration may vary from user to user. To enable this setting:
    • Menu > Manage Account > Manage user login settings > Select "Force Password Expiration" from the "Additional Security Options" dropdown

Two-Factor Authentication (MedSpa Ultimate)

  • With this feature, an SMS message with a six-digit code can be sent to an employee's mobile phone, and that code would allow the user to login. (Paid SMS Required) This code is sent to an employee's mobile phone, as entered in their employee profile. When logging into Subscription Management with master login credentials, the two-factor will be sent to the “Owner Mobile Phone” number in the Update Owner Contact Info settings menu. If a user does not have a mobile phone number saved - the login will bypass two-factor, even when enabled. If two-factor authentication is enabled, the force password expiration feature cannot also be enabled at the same time. With two-factor enabled, a code is sent for every login. To enable two-factor authentication:
    • Menu > Manage Account > Manage user login settings > Select "Two-Factor Authentication" from the "Additional Security Options" dropdown
